Seasonal Sunday - Red Oak leaves

"Nature will bear the closest inspection. She invites us to lay our eye level with her small leaf, and take an insect view of the plain."
 Henry David Thoreau

"A lonely Autumn leave on the road by sticking to another one becomes more resistant to harsh winds. Unity is the midwife of security."
Mehmet Murat Idau

In this season of thanks, I'm thankful today for the beautiful sunshine and the air we breathe.
The name -- of it -- is "Autumn"
The name -- of it -- is "Autumn" --
The hue -- of it -- is Blood --
An Artery -- upon the Hill --
A Vein -- along the Road --

Great Globules -- in the Alleys --
And Oh, the Shower of Stain --
When Winds -- upset the Basin --
And spill the Scarlet Rain --

It sprinkles Bonnets -- far below --
It gathers ruddy Pools --
Then -- eddies like a Rose -- away --
Upon Vermilion Wheels --
Emily Dickenson

Your arrangement is so beautiful. What you can do with Fall colors is amazing. I am not naturally attracted to Fall colors, I have even told my husband to not let me die during the Fall so that my flowers at the funeral are not Fall colors!!! But I may have to change my mind if someone classy is arranging it!

What a pretty arrangement. I love red oaks. We have a red and a white oak across the street from our house. The red is just so much prettier.
