From now through until Thanksgivings, I plan on bringing you a different Christmas item each work day (Mon-Fri). And as with all plans, there might be a day lapse once or twice. It's a promise, just not intentional... I will try to add a supply list if possible.
Another blog candy giveaway. Post a comment on each Christmas post from now through Thanksgivings. I will randomly draw from one day and from that day one person to win 1 package Printed Treasures printable fabric. It's great for scrapbooking and great for sewing!
So today we start with an ornament. This one, a paper creation.
Supplies:
QK Club die - tombstone
Spellbinders reverse scallop dies
old dictionary or printed matter
cardstock
gold glitter and glitter glue
gold rope for hanger
white flower
metal decorative brad
Yes, I really used the tombstone die to create this flower. Really. After looking at the shape, can you see that the petals were cut from this die. Either die cut 2 from printed paper and one from cardstock, or scan the printed matter and print on both sides of cardstock, then just cut once per petal. I used my grandmother's german cookbook. (Scanned it, printed it and die cut the printed version). the inverted scallop die is the center through which I attached the white flower with the decorative brad. Die cut the desired number of petals. adhere overlapped on the back of the center inverted scallop die cut.
The side you can't see is identical to the one you can see.
