good tidings of great joy, which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the City of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
There’s never been an announcement of such rich hope in so few words. It’s a masterpiece of
economy. This little message contains twelve great truths. It tells us that:
· Fear is now obsolete in the human heart -- Do not be afraid.
· A startling change has occurred in human history – Behold…
· It is angelic, other-worldly, from heaven -- I (an angel…)
· It’s the Gospel -- bring you good news…
· It’s the key to happiness -- of great joy…
· We have a Global Message -- which shall be to all people.
· This news is immediate -- Today…
· We have a new king, a descendant of David as promised in Messianic prophecy -- in the
city of David…
· We have one who delivers us from sin, death, and hell -- a Savior…
· He has arrived on earth via human birth -- has been born…
· He is both personal and available -- for you
· He is the long-promised Messiah -- He is Christ…
· He is Lord, the one who is above all -- the Lord.
