Monday Photo of the Week - Autumn

What goes up must come down. The leaves. They are turning yellow. They are already falling. You know what that means? Somebody will be continually busy for a long long while.

Autumn Leaves

The falling leaves drift by the window
The autumn leaves of red and gold
I see your lips, the summer kisses
The sun-burned hands I used to hold

Since you went away the days grow long
And soon I’ll hear old winter’s song
But I miss you most of all my darling
When autumn leaves start to fall

(french lyrics by jacques prévert,
English lyrics by johnny mercer,
Music by joseph kosma)

Great photo, Marlis. It got cold all of a sudden so I am sure the leaves will be changing colors here too...Christine

Hi Marlis! I see that you hurt yourself. So sorry! It seems like you may be starting on the mend. I hope so! It's always nice when you stop by! I know you can use the rain. We're still behind too! You must know German silver. The spoon is Brukmann. I only have a few pieces. Get well soon!

Lovely post, as always. I enjoyed the Nat King Cole. Feel better!

Looking forward to your table! My mom has always loved that song.

I always thought leaves should have been designed to self district as they fall! Still very green here. I will take these temps! After Fall? I don't want to think about it. It seems like we just finished shoveling snow!
Hope all is well! New drapes, nice,
