Cherubs and candy - Monday photo of the week

A few favorites grouped together

The candy dish is German. It belonged to my maternal grandmother. She used to keep her best candies in there. Behind glass in the china cabinet. If you were especially good (or even if you weren't) you could go get you one.

Hard to believe this baby is going to be 30 in two weeks. Where has the time gone?

Fell in love with this porcelain and brass cherub when I saw it whilst looking at fabric for a living room chair. It just popped into my hands and after it was paid for properly, it rode home beside me so that it could sit in this spot.

The runner is made of french silk ribbons sewn side by side. Each end is embroidered with tassels. All sewn on my trusty Bernina 730E.

Golly-Neds, Marlis...I have SEW much catching up to do on your blog! My computer was out for virus removal for awhile & I am SEW far behind on commenting.

LOVE the photo of your handsome son, LOVE all the embroidery photos, especially that Rooster on your pretty table, (cool idea!) LOVE the kitty photo & how you straightened up your shelves. Mine are begging for the same treatment as well as culling.

Sorry to be so lax in visiting. Its just now settling down here. DH has to have laser surgery (stones) on Thurs. so it may get crazy all over again but I'll try to visit again real soon.

Hugs,
Rett

Beautiful! Your son is so handsome! I love the table runner! Don't ever let go of your 730. I have the 200 upgraded to a 730 and I will never let it go. Great machine. Great photos. You are an excellent photographer.
