Rewards - what it's all about!

Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:8

Yes, yes, my greatest reward awaits me in heaven. I know this. I look forward to that day. But let's face it, hard work in our earthly realm needs a just reward! Don't cha think? I do. If I lose 40 lbs then I get my boots. That's it. Self-imposed. And now egads.... public.

Either of these boots will be just reward. The top pair is from Crow's Nest Trading. Love that store. This pair is from Double D Ranchwear. Both favorites.. both loves. Will be a hard choice.
Goal: 40 lbs.
As Corey (Tongue in Cheek) says, eat less move more.
MOVE MORE!!!!
Lose. 40. pounds.

Which pair should I choose?

• "Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven." - Luke 10:20
• “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ:” - Ephesians 1:3
• “And [God] raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” - Ephesians 2:6
• “For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:” - Philippians 3:20
• “Because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;” – Colossians 1:5
• “And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for his heavenly kingdom. - 2 Timothy 4:18
• “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.” - 1 Peter 1:3-4

Marlis, they are both great but I vote for the first pair. How wrong of you to give me something new to lust after. And I don't even have a need for cowboy (I mean cowgirl) boots. Hugs, Dawna

Marlis,
Either pair is gorgeous!!! I prefer the top pair...they already look "lived in"! Whichever you choose...You're going to be pleased with the outcome. Boots and your achievement!!! Much success!!!
Fondly,
Pat

Both are nice, but I'm leaning toward the first pair.

I am all over that first pair -- they look so loved. I laughed out loud when I saw this post -- my bf and I just bet a new pair of shoes to whoever looses 10 lbs by Thanksgiving. Seems we share a thing for shoes? :) Good luck and go get 'em.

Well, I have a different opinion, the second pair. Of course this is coming from a little Texas girl who has a love affair with her boots. In fact, I have worn boots all my life. When I was 3 to 4 years old, I thought the perfect outfit was my bathing suit and my "cowgirl" boots. Why wear anything else?!! Anyway, congratulations on the decision to make such a change. I know you'll be successful!

I vote for the first pair. Maybe I need to find a reward and set a goal. Best of luck with this. I'm trying to drop some pounds myself........Sarah

Your right, my greatest reward will be heaven too! With that said let's talk boots. If you achieve your weight loss goal I think you should reward yourself with something special and I think either pair of boots are gorgeous. Tough call but I think I like the first pair better. Love the way they curve at the top but then I love the silver cross on the second pair. What I want to know is all about the diet are your on???

Both gorgeous, but I like the second pair with the darker brown. More contrast.

If you lose 40 lbs., darlin', you deserve to have BOTH!!!!!!! Don't short change yourself! Forty pounds is no small feat! I really need to get on board and lose about 30 myself, but I have NO self-control or willpower. I saw photos of myself yesterday and was shocked!!!!!!! (Especially the ones with a rear view!) I wish you good luck a billion times over as you work toward your reward of BOTH PAIRS of boots! ;-)

This is a great idea, Marlis! I like the first pair. They look comfy like a favorite chair. The second pair is gorgeous, but I think THEY would be wearing YOU. :)

Good luck!

Hi Marlis, I love rewards for a job well done! Hmmm, both pairs of boots are wonderful. I love the turquoise and brown combo. The first pair is more subdued and looks well worn already. The second pair is flashier, but so pretty. I'm sure either one will look wonderful on you.
