Doing some thinking today.
Truly a wonder.
These pretty faces stayed with us throughout the winter,
resuscitating after each freeze to bring more
sunshine to our lives.
Thank you, God.
Wondering.
It's only February, and the iris are already up.
There are buds on some of the branches on the elm trees.
Isn't this just too soon?
Our average last freeze date is April 9 (usually Easter!).
Leaving them in God's hands.
Praying this sweet boy stays healthy.
He had quite a week a few weeks ago.
A horrible scare (he's a scaredy cat anyway) on a Monday.
Bouts of vomiting.
A Dr's visit.
Some meds.
He's just fine now.
Thank you, God.
Praying for our son that he turns to God for wisdom, discernment, and the path his life is supposed to take.

This is a touching post, Marlis, sending some prayers your way. xo
Everything is so messed up this year. My forsythia bloomed in December. I wonder what it will do this spring? Beautiful pictures, Marlis!
My friends in Galveston tell me that everything is blooming. It's even early for Galveston.
Last week our scripture at mass was about the paralyzed man whose friends cut a hole in the roof and lowered him down. The priest explained that it was not the faith of the paralyzed man but the faith of his friends that healed him. Keep praying!
Marlis:
You are in my thoughts and now will be in my prayers too. Hopefully things will take a positive turn as the sprouts begin to appear.

such a cute kitty!
Oh sweet lady, my prayers are going your way, for sure! Hope things get better soon for your son. Glad the cute kitty is better. Thank you for your lovely and kind comments on my daughter's house. I have a new post, we're celebrating our 36th. Anniversary today. Lots of blessings. Hugs,
FABBY
Marlis, Sending prayers to our Father for you and on your son's behalf. Sweet Regan. Hope he stays well. Dianne
My dear Marlis,
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving me such a sweet comment. Spring is certainly in the air! I will keep your son in my prayers and I do hope your cute kitty stays well, he looks so regal sitting there on the back of the couch.
Have a great Sunday my dear!
(hugs)

Things are beginning to sprout and bloom here. I pruned the roses last weekend and already have one with another bloom.
Hi Marlis~ Our freeze date here is April 15th and the Cherry Trees are blooming~ everything will be zapped by the cold temps before then! Glad Regan is back & feeling better! Enjoy your Sunday :)
Marlis, Yes, God is good and always takes care of us. Prayers for your son's decision in his life. Our plants are so confused! The Forsythia started blooming a month ago...then stopped and now is in full bloom and the weather has turned cold and in the 30s. The Lenten roses look good though. They dont' seem to be bothered by all this crazy weather.
Hugs for you and have a great Sunday,
Babs
Thank you for visiting again my sweet friend. Wow, we were married almost at the same time...I don't know where time went either! I have your dear son on my prayers, our God will decide what's the right decission for him too. Hugs,
FABBY
My thoughts are with you.
Thank you for visiting my lil'blog and taking your time to leave a sweet comment :)
Greetings from Australia♥
All the plants are early here too. At least a month early. It will be interesting what is to come.
God is in control. He is faithful. Blessings to you today!
Hi, Marlis. I'm so happy to have found your post--it's hit or miss at these big parties we all join! I love your inspiring post, of Spring and big questions and prayers. You're in my prayers too. ~Zuni
PS - So you don't think (understandably) that I've lost my mind, I did see that you had named your post with your name, which is what led me to you. Thank you for doing that, so I can always find you!
Hopeful signs of spring, Marlis!
Isn't it amzazing what mother nature can do?! It's so nice to see the buds and flowers starting to grow. I just noticed the crocus in my backyard yesterday. It's in full bloom! Unheard of in New England in February. But maybe a good sign of things to come. I'm sending hugs and prayers your way for your precious kitty - hope he bounces back real soon. And also for your son in whatever decisions he makes in life. God will help guide him.
Have a wonderful week ~
Danielle xo
I have asked the same questions about our early blooms this year. I finally reminded myself essentially what you did: God is not off course. He knows what he's doing. I also just committed to enjoying them when they came and stopped trying to micro-manage God.
I'm glad your "scaredy-cat" is better.
I love your prayer for your son, too.
Marlis, our weather runs from 30 on day then 60 the next. I love your pansies.
So glad your kitty is better and I know your son will be alright, some things are just out of our hands as Mothers.
xoxo

What a handsome kitty. Hope he stays strong and healthy. ALways scary when kitty gets sick! I panic when mine get sick and rush them straight to the vet.
I know it is more than the kitty you pray for. My prayer is added to yours that all will turn out the way you hope!
