Today I'm thankful for the little things. Had a particularly tough day at work. But, my son came to have lunch with me. Just too nice for words. And I went into Kohl's for the very first time. Ever. And they've been here for a very many years. Why? It's across town. I know Lubbock isn't a big town. It's still across town. And then it was back to work. And then. I . Came. Home. In the kitchen, my geraniums were blooming. Now if that isn't a bright spot in a day, then I don't know what is.
Have you noticed the little things?

Today is my birthday. Sweet Mister took me to dinner at the club. We were joined by KC and David...and our precious Beatrice Emaline, now 7 weeks old. It was her first dining out experience, and she was an angel the entire time. I gave thanks for our sweet little one. I love The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom. My favorite story in her book is the episode of "Thank you for the fleas." Have you read it? I highly recommend it! Cherry Kay
I know what you mean about "way across town." Our Joann's is not part of my usual stomping grounds, and somehow, a trip there feels like going a LONG way -- yet it only takes about 10-12 minutes! Thank goodness I don't live in Houston!
Sometimes it IS the little things that count the most when our day is dark. Chin up, young person!
Marlis,

Pat
