Advent Calendar 2012 - the Bedroom

Do you bring a little Christmas into the bedroom? I've always brought a little bit of the decorations into the bedroom. I want to dream with Sugarplums dancing in my head. Velvet pillow, made and embroidered by myself, the check matches the drapes and the holly pillow is new this year. Gotta love a bit of Pottery Barn.

I added fresh greenery over the headboard. It smells so good. Another way to bring those sugarplums to the dreams. The holly "topper" is a really large tablecloth, probably Williams Sonoma last year or earlier, and adds just a bit of holiday to the bed. Of course Regan has to have final approval. He's not too sure, yet!
So do you decorate your bedroom? I want to know!

  1. Marlis, Reagan and I both approve of your decorating in your bedroom -- how dreamy to have some fresh greenery over your bed. I don't decorate in our bedroom, but have thought about it. Love your pillows. Joni

  2. What a cozy and welcoming bedroom! I, too, decorate in the bedroom. I usually put a small tree on the dresser and decorate to match the decor.

  3. Great idea on the bed topper!!! Love the fresh greenery on the headboard! That would be a nice fragrance to wake up to!

  4. I love the Holly pillow and the bed topper. I haven't ever brought Christmas into the bedroom, but that is a great idea. Of course, it also then becomes something else to do, so on second thought, no, Christmas will not be my bedroom :) Happy Holidays Dianne

  5. Marlis,
    Merry Christmas to Regan!!!
Wondered where that feline had been as of late!
YES! Dear friend, I add a poinsettia pillow on the bed and a vintage feather tree decorated with vintage pink, aqua and silver ornaments, snowflakes and pink sheer ribbon bows on the side table!!! I would love to add a garland at the foot of the bed, but fear I'll scratch the Cherry bed rails! Thanks for sharing your Christmas decor throughout your home!
    Fondly,
    Pat
