July 5th - a regular work day that felt it was a week in itself... and then I came home. Opened the mailbox and found inside a sweet little box. It was heavy and sounded like everything was still in one piece. I opened it and oh how my life just got sweeter. Just look at that darling handmade card! My heart stood still!
Two sweet jars of jelly and a handmade card. Now I ask, can life just get any sweeter? Nope!! These came all the way from Tennessee. Sweet Dianne from Dianne's Creative Table sent these to me after I drooled over her post when she made the blackberry jelly. You can read it HERE.
So I waited till Saturday morning, when I have the house all to myself (except our scaredy-cat cat with good reason might I add*) and pulled out some Knäckebrot (crisp rye bread - Wasa brand from World Market), creamed cheese and spread this deliciousness right on top. Nothing but a silver spreader is good enough for this confection! Trust me.
And with the first bite, not only did sweet Diane share her home-made sweetness, but I realized she also extended her arm of friendship all the way to Texas! Thank you so very much my sweet friend - you have blessed me so much!
*Regan is a wee bit scared these days...Bear, a German shepherd has adopted us. He has tags, I've called the vet, the owner's phone has been disconnected, but I have not given up. Regan has never seen a dog though and is cowered under the couch against the wall. Pray we find the owner!
I'm linking to the Tablescaper's Seasonal Sunday! Be sure to drop in for a sweet visit, I'll see you there.
Just a side note.. Owner found, Bear is home with his family and our Regan is sprawled out on the couch thinking his world is once again right!

ReplyDeleteOh, I sure hope you find the owner of the german shepherd. I'm sure your Regan is freaking if he's never seen a dog, and a big one too. I sure hope you find the pups owner. Its sad he's lost. Your so good to take him in. Good luck.......
