Fifty Two. 52. Zwei und fuenfzig. Ciquante deux. That's right. This is
the 52nd tablescape... a year of tables. Oh my. So to challenge myself I
did monochromatic. I kept wanting to add a punch of color, a bit of the
unexpected, but resisted.
A lace tablecloth on the glass table. A scrappy wooden charger. White dishes. Silver. And roses. That's about it.
A white plate rimmed in scrolls and a seashell.
Topped with a less ornate salad plate. Still white.
Mix and match silver. The one on the left is my favorite.
Silver banded in gold napkin ring.
Silver goblets and silver topped salt and peppers.
A perfect white rose.
Gorham silver candlesticks.
Now, if you live in West Texas, there ain't no way you could use a
candle outside - evah! So off to buy shorter candles, 'cause the elegant
hurricanes will be on the candles!
Cast:
Tablecloth - from my husband's grandmother via my mother in law
Napkins - Belgium Linen
Napkin rings - Stein Mart
Chargers - Pier One
Plates - TJ Maxx a long time ago
Salad Plates - Wedgwood Windsor
Silver flatware - estate sales (the one I like is Signature by Old Company Plate)
Silver goblets - Spain
Candlesticks - Gorham Chantilly

Beautiful flatware and the tablecloth is wonderful, so very elegant! I love the photos al fresco, it looks right out of a magazine!! Come on over and visit my grand-Victoria's b'day bash. Lots of hugs. FABBY
ReplyDeleteYour white patterns & textures are beautiful especially with your silver accents! I love the dappled sunlight on your tablecloth! Everything looks so cool & serene, even though I'm sure the mercury is shooting out of the thermometer there!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Marlis, on a year's worth of tablescapes! Did you manage to do 52 tables without skipping a week? I'm very impressed! The table is lovely, as usual; the white theme is perfect for outdoors. As Mary said, it does look cool and serene. I noticed your Moravian star hanging in the tree. Moravians settled our community, and my family is Moravian. Thanks for sharing your lovely outdoor table.

52 tablescapes is a noteworthy accomplishment Marlis, congratulations! I love this table and the fact that in its stunning beauty it is outdoors on your patio. Since I've been a slug for a few weeks when it comes to tablescapes I think you may have just encouraged me to get off my duff and get one started. Thanks for sharing.
