A mother's love...

A Mother's Love

There is no love, like a mother's love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.

A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most,
a mother's love will shine.

God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they've done.

When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on...
through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.

Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

  4. Perfect timing Marlis, yesterday my mama turned 89. We took her out to dinner at an Inn where she worked as a waitress over 50 years ago. She really enjoyed sitting at a table looking out at the water (well ice right now) and reminiscing with my brother and I about our life on the lake. Thanks so much for the reminder of how important our mama's are.

  5. So true, Moms are the best, there's nothing better than arriving on my mom's doorstep knowing she can't wait to see me and loves me unconditionally.
    Great post!

  7. Marlis, not only was that poem lovely, but so is the vignette. Oh, how I love the antique linen piece. Imagine the work it took to make it? I always marvel at pieces like this when I see them.

Hope you have had a wonderful weekend...

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  9. Hi, Marlis! I couldn't get the comment button to work on your TT post, so I jumped down to this one! LOVE the juniper!!! It always reminds me of my maternal grandmother's house. She had tons of it in her yard! LOVE the buffet set up! SO MANY creative ideas, especially the welcome tray! The whole set up was really beautiful and elegant. I'm sure the guests were greatly impressed and gave your hubby the ol' "Attaboy!" for marrying such a clever woman with such great hostessing skills. You've got a LOT of those wine caddy plates! They're perfect! Did your upbringing in France help you to pick out the perfect wines? Thanks for stopping by my place earlier this week. I have been so slow about reading all the posts on TT this week. There have been a lot of good ones, so I'm taking my sweet time. Have a great weekend!
