Wisteria came for Breakfast tablescape

Wisteria came for breakfast.

Her heady fragrance permeated the fresh spring air.

Her subtle colors dominated the landscape.

Sharp contrasts of black and white fought with her to be the stars, Wisteria won.

Wisteria is attracted to the soft fluttering of the birds as they fly by quickly in search of a sunny spot to rest.

Wisteria casts her shadow as if to weave a spell.

Reflective surfaces with her showy perfection allow you to drink her in.

She requires the perfect cups and glasses to drink her being.

The little vases carry her song to the tabletop.

Wisteria draped herself across the table majestically, ensnaring you into her tendrils.

Wrapped napkins bowed to her graces.

Flatware shied away from her beauty.

She appeared as a gentle breeze.

Wisteria ruled the table.

She was here for but a spell. Too quickly gone. I pray she comes again, soon. She soothes my restless soul.

Wisteria. Beautiful, fragrant and oh, so charming! I am going to just have to surprise Ramon one day when he comes home by having a landscaper come out and plant all sorts of fabulous stuff around the house. That's the only way it'll ever get done! He doesn't care about the landscape, but he LOVES the grass. He has Forrest Gump syndrome in that regard!!! :-) Beautiful table, Marlis, and I love the combination of dishes. So pretty!

I love your shadow play across the table! Wisteria's fragrance is so heady & wonderful, it's a shame it wilts so quickly after it's cut! All of it around here has already disappeared. I love it paired with the black & white, and birds at your table :)

Our wisteria is gone now. I miss it. I love to see it hanging from the trees. The whole time it was blooming, I kept thinking how much I would love to see a table set beneath it so I'm so glad you did!

I would never have thought to use the black and white with it. That was the perfect choice. It sort of let the centerpiece take center stage.

I love those bird plates, too!

Sam's was featuring some beautiful Wisteria trees this week. I still might have to go back and buy several. Your tablescape captured the magnificence of these amazing blooms perfectly. Love the 'birdy' accent plates! Cherry Kay

Wisteria goes so beautifully with black and white...the wisteria around here has been gone for almost 2 weeks. I wish it had a longer blooming season.
Your table is charming, with those cute bird plates.

Hi Marlis,

Ahhhh Wisteria. She is lovely indeed. We planted a wisteria last spring. I wonder how long before she will show her colors for us. Beautiful table, Marlis.

I love Wisteria and I want it everywhere, but my landscaper husband says it's an invasive weed! The simple black and white shows off the beauty of the Wisteria and I love the photo with shadow of the vine on the table. Dianne

What a gorgeous setting for a beautiful table! I adore wisteria...in fact, I have a huge painting by Piet Bekaert of a pergola, dripping with it in my entry foyer. I should take a photo of it!

Your black & white & the little birdies are especially charming & the extra little punch of the orange color was ingenious. Well done!

We're FINALLY getting warm enough to eat outside, so I'd better get busy & clean up the gazebo house.

Hugs,
Rett
