Have the fall-ish colors that graced your home in weeks past, been replaced?
Have the last vestiges of pumpkins been deemed passé?
The tree from which these oak leaves were pruned, is now a glorious deep red.
No more oranges in sight.
Has your home been transformed this past weekend?
Do you decorate for Chris✞mas over Thanksgivings weekend?
Hi Marlis,
ReplyDeleteThis leaf arrangement with the twinkle lights is so pretty. I love it! Doesn't it seem like we just put up our fall things, and now it's time to put them away? It goes by too fast.
I started Christmas decorating today. I have to wait until after Thanksgiving or it doesn't feel right. Of course now that all the turkey leftovers are gone it's time to get busy. I hope you have a happy, festive season!

Normally, I'm hot after Christmas the moment the Thanksgiving dishes are put away...but not this time. Once the kiddos left to return to Dallas, I pretty much put my feet up and started a very long long winter's nap. I'll start tomorrow, I think. Looking forward to seeing all your Christmas goodies. ReplyDeleteIt hasn't been transformed on the outside, but inside it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
ReplyDeleteActually, with all the boxes and mess, it kind of looks like Christmas morning-after, but we're working on it.
I've been absent while enjoying daughters all week and am trying to get all caught up. It's not so easy while decorating at the same time.
I like the way you have used the branch with lights.
ReplyDeleteI observe Advent and enjoy all the celebrations during this season. I love Christmas, but don't celebrate it until Christmas.
During Advent, I will gradually discard Autumn deco to be replaced with Christmas decorations.
I loved the beautiful vase with the branches and lights...very pretty. I only have my tree up, I've been very lazy this year. I hope to get more done soon.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool with the twinkle lights!!!!!!!! I am TRYING to get into the Christmas decorating spirit, but I'm having a really hard time. I think I did so much for Thanksgiving that I just can't get with the program yet. I'd better get with it, though, because we have lots of stuff going on starting this week!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't rush into the season myself I like to enjoy decorating and not race. I put away the fall stuff last night and now I'm imaging my Christmas deco ideas. I'm in no hurry!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, looks peaceful. I love the lights, Marlis. ...Christine

ReplyDeleteI love this photo Marlis and the beautiful fall arrangement of leaves with twinkle lights.
ReplyDeleteStill working on Christmas. The sun is shining this afternoon. We'll leave for the lake early tomorrow, where I plan to do a little decorating this year. I've never really done much there for any of the holidays. This year, a small "Charley Brown" tree and a few vignettes.
I like the twinkle lights in the leaves! I've taken my fall things down and hope to start Christmas decorations soon!
ReplyDeleteKatherine
I love your photo and twinkling of lights! I'm so blessed to be home this time of year with no stress of 'getting things done' for the holidays!
