Both of these guys share the same chair.
Actually Mr. CJ is just happy that Regan lets him sit there, too.
We've already had several fires this year.
First one last Thursday.
Another last night.
I love to watch the dancing flames.
Listen to the crackle of the wood.
Smell the scent of oak and pinion.
Feel the heat.
Relaxing.
Hope your week is just like that - relaxing.
Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate your visit and love your comments.
Lovely photo. We have our wood-stove on and the cats are all around it in baskets. They love that so much. Happy Halloween.
ReplyDeleteHow cute. Our Punkin sits on the back of the chair with my husband. I always worry that he's going to fall off. No fires here yet, but I do love them too. Dianne
ReplyDeleteHi Marlis,
ReplyDeletehow very cute. They are really buddies.
Best greetings, Johanna
Great pic Marlis! I lit my first fire Friday night too. Happy Halloween:@)
ReplyDeleteMy week doesn't promise to be very relaxing, but your picture reminds me that at the end of the day, there is always the option of jammies and a fire if I choose to take it.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo and the fire! What a wonderful environment! Your photography really captured the scene and feelings
ReplyDeleteWe also love a fire in the fireplace. We don't have many days we need one down south, but when we do we love them. I see your guys really are enjoying your fire.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your week.

One of the things I miss most about living in the Southwest is the smell of the pinion wood fires. Great photo -- both of the subjects look really relaxed and content.
ReplyDeleteThey look so cozy. I have not lit my fireplace yet. It has not really been that cold yet....Christine

ReplyDeleteOh Marlis, what a lovely photo, I don't blame you for taking it! They look so warm with the fire place and czied up. Lots of hugs,
