Easter is but a week away...

Mr.and Mrs. Hare are enjoying a few more hours of frivolity before the serious preparations begin for the yearly egg-cellent affaire. They've donned their best finery and are strolling along Bunny Lane on their way to the ball.
Monsieur Lapin has also presented himself in his finest coat and and fanciest shirt.

Patience
Chocolate Easter bunny
In a jelly bean nest,
I'm saving you for very last
Because I love you best.
I'll only take a nibble
From the tip of your ear
And one bite from the other side
So that you won't look queer.
Yum, your'e so delicious!
I didn't mean to eat
Your chocolate tail till Tuesday.
Ooops! There go your feet!
I wonder how your back tastes
With all that chocolate hair.
I never thought your tummy
Was only filled with air!
Chocolate Easter bunny
In a jelly bean nest,
I'm saving you for very last
Because I love you best.

  8. Marlis, what a gorgeous vignette. Glad you took photos to share. Those bunnies are over the top! Reminds me of a window display that I saw at a shop in Santa Fe a few summers ago. In this case it was geese dressed in 18th century French finery. Thanks for sharing! ~ Sarah
