It's been a really busy week around here. Fun but busy.
Last week the plumbers had fun in the back yard.
Our middle granddaughter turned 5!!
And we were getting ready for one of our favorite social gatherings.
So I relied on mind mapping software to keep me on track.
Mind mapping?
It's not as bizarre as it seems... just a cool computer tool to organize your thoughts.
you can click HERE for the free download.
Baby Zoe turned 5.
She used to be the baby until last December, when Maddie was born (same son, 3 girls!)
The yard was agreeing that we should move the party venue from the inside to the outside...
Can you just smell the wisteria?
And I planted my flower pots already...
Oh please leaves fill in on the trees!
What a beautiful evening! Truly magical..
We could not have planned for better weather!
I love white tablecloths - even outside.
Afterwards, the dishes in the dishwasher, the other items put up,
A short rehash of the fun time we had hosting our friends.
Even Regan says it's time for a siesta!!
Here's hoping your week ahead is amazing! Thanks for dropping by. I'll see you Wednesday for Kathleen's Let's Dish and Thursday for Susan's Tablescape Thursday! Cya there...
Your outdoor tables look beautiful and I love the lighting. I take it that little Zoe likes horses? Sounds like a fun week. I will check out that mind mapping. xo
ReplyDeleteDefinitely time to move the party outside. It looks lovely with the twinkling lights. Happy Birthday to Zoe.

♫♫ Happy Belated Birthday to Zoeeee! ♫♫
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty cake she had...Ms. C. loved My Little Pony at one time & even had a REAL pony for the children to ride at one of her birthday parties.
Your wine & cheese tasting looks like it was such a special night! LOVE the roped lighting across the back yard & your wisteria is TDF! I don't think I've ever seen it here in Ohio, yet I just looked it up & it is hardy in zones 4-9. We are zone 6, so it should be able to be grown here. Hmmmm.....
Cute shot of your hubby & the kitty relaxing afterwards. I bet YOU needed a nap, too.
I'm off to check out Mind Mapping next. Thanks for the link!
Hugs,
Rett
p.s. I'm working on my table for "Let's Dish" right now!
I'm afraid my mind's map looks like a broken GPS system! That sounds like a cool tool! What a beautiful dinner party setting!!!! I am so glad you're able to entertain outdoors already! The evenings here have remained cool in the upper 50s. Soon enough, though, we'll be back out on ye olde deck! :-) I love the stringed lights. Ramon & I are trying to figure out how to do something similar, but it's hard with no trees overlapping the deck. We're going to have to get super creative. Could you just please send me your patio area? That would solve the problem for me! :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dinner party setting, Marlis! I remember your wisteria from last spring, so beautiful!! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOh your gathering looks wonderful! Our extra warm weather has left us temporarily so no eating outdoors here! Your wisteria looks fabulous! I love the cake for Zoe- very cute!
ReplyDeleteOh what a fabulous outdoor party, your tables look wonderful! Everything there shows the fun you all had. Happy birthday to your little sweetie. I love the way everyone is so satisfied resting after the great party...specially kitty cat, lol..Wishing you a great week.

Have a blessed week!

Never considered a mind mapping program, but what a good idea. Your wisteria are exquisite! Time with your family is so precious and rightfully a priority. How wonderful that you put so much into your entertaining.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful birthday party! Belated happy birthday to Zoe. We have a Zoe too....Christine
ReplyDeleteDining al fresco sounds divine!
ReplyDeleteA big happy birthday to Zoe!
I am very interested in mind mapping~ I sure could use a map to get around and remember all I need to do in a day!
I just want to say that I loved your last tablescape! LOVE green and blue together. Just stunning!
